David Fox was appointed Non-Executive Director of both the Linfox Logistics Australia and New Zealand Board and the Linfox International Group Board in 2020.
In January 2001 David was appointed to the role of Managing Director, Linfox Airports Pty Ltd, and then in 2008 appointed Executive Chairman where he currently oversees the airport management and business opportunities.
David is also on the Board of Directors for Avalon Airport, Linfox Airports, Armaguard and Fox Group Holdings.
In March 2004, Qantas announced it would use Avalon Airport for its newest budget airline, Jetstar.
In November 2004 Linfox’s Avalon Airport was honoured by the Australian Airports Association for aviation excellence, named the 2004 Regional Airport of the Year.
The addition of passenger flights at Avalon Airport is a major milestone in the history of the airport and for Linfox. In late 2015 the Commonwealth Government approved Avalon Airport’s 20 Year Masterplan, with the establishment of the Avalon Airport Industrial Precinct announced by the Victorian State Government in August 2016.
In December 2018, Avalon Airport commenced International passenger service operations with double daily flights between Avalon Airport and Kuala Lumpur.
In 2019 Avalon Airport surpassed 10 million passengers through its domestic airport operations since commencing services in 2004.
