The largest supply chain solutions and IT team responsible for the Asia-Pacific region is located in our Bangkok head office. The team provides analytical and advisory services, and develops new operational capabilities to advance new strategic services and large-scale productivity enhancements. They work with our operations team to design, implement and optimise technology and process programs to deliver project success and drive operational efficiencies. This capability covers everything from supply chain network analysis to design and implementation of transport and warehouse optimisation systems within operations. In Thailand, due to our expansive customer network, proximity to customers and frequency of trips, we also design effective backhaul solutions.
Across Thailand, Linfox holds over 150 thousand pallet positions and handles over 480 million cases per annum. Our warehouse network covers all four corners of Thailand with modern warehousing solutions including customised, multi-temperature distribution centre design and management, and options for shared warehousing, transport integration solutions, and reverse logistics. In Thailand, our full flow through ‘goods in, goods out’ warehousing model is not dependent on automation. This provides advantage during peak periods as additional labour can remedy bottlenecks, preventing backlog. Our Thai operations also include a labour force which is adaptable to customer needs and forecasting.
With a mixed transport model of Linfox and subcontractors, our fleet network is over 2,500 vehicles with primary and secondary freight services available and multi-temperature transport capability. Our fleet solutions include a wide array of vehicle and size variations to suit both customer needs and Thailand road conditions. We have small vehicle options for short trips and high frequency of drops that are nimble for high traffic areas and difficult to access drop points. Our transport model reflects the proximity of the environment in Thailand, our vehicles and drivers are trained for a high volume of generally 8 – 9 drops and stops per load. We also provide solutions with parameters of vehicle type, routing and access times to ensure business continuity during Bangkok truck ban restrictions.
