At Linfox, we are committed to making a positive difference to the communities in which we live and work. We work closely with our employees, charities and community groups to provide our support wherever we can, helping when disasters strike and participating in projects that enrich our communities.
Linfox has a proud tradition of providing support to a range of community organisations through the Fox Family Foundation and via our business. The Fox Family Foundation manages the family’s charitable donations and activities.
The Linfox business also provides responsive support through in-kind logistical services to communities affected by natural disasters, including people impacted by bushfires in Australia, and floods across Australia and Asia.
Here is a selection of the organisations and initiatives we have recently supported.
Champions of Change
Linfox CEO Mark Mazurek joined the Champions of Change Coalition on behalf of Linfox, an organisation endeavouring to engage leaders to help achieve gender equality and a significant and sustainable increase in the representation of women in leadership. Read more in Linfox Solutions magazine.
Linfox is a member of the Diversity Council Australia, a not-for-profit peak body leading diversity and inclusion in the workplace
Linfox contributed to the first ever Australian Indigenous Employment Index in 2022 through the Minderoo Foundation and Generation One.
Linfox has partnered with Clontarf Foundation, a charitable non-profit organisation on a mission to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island men.
Linfox CEO Mark Mazurek is also a member of the Victorian Government Mentally Healthy Workplaces Advisory Group, pivotal to stewarding change across Victorian workplaces to promote mental health and wellbeing.
Supporting the Australian Olympics team
Linfox proudly supported the Australian Olympic team in 2020, transporting their quarantine bags around the country for their two-week mandatory stay in Darwin.
“With all team members required to quarantine after the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, their creature comforts that reminded them of home were extremely important for them to tackle the two weeks in isolation.
“Without Linfox’s incredible support, team members would have not received their quarantine care packs. Linfox’s incredible passion and support ensured all Olympians received them, helping round out an incredible Olympic campaign,” said Olympian Services Manager, Daniel Kowalski.
FareShare
Linfox supports FareShare, a national food rescue organisation running Australia’s largest charity kitchens. FareShare operates a fleet of refrigerated vehicles to collect surplus and donated food from supermarkets, wholesalers, manufacturers and farmers, and transform it into millions of free, cooked, nutritional meals for people in need. When SPC donated 55,760 litres of passata to FareShare during the COVID-19 crisis, Linfox donated freight services to bring 44 drums of passata from Shepparton to Melbourne in two B-doubles.
Santa Teresa Oval development project
Linfox was proud to pledge our support for the Santa Teresa Oval development project through in-kind transport of the ground’s iconic goal posts, from the MCG to their new home in Santa Teresa, Northern Territory.
We thank the Melbourne Cricket Club, Melbourne Football Club and the Atyenhenge Atherre Aboriginal Corporation for the opportunity to help build this important legacy – one that will enrich the Santa Teresa community for decades to come.
The Captain's Ride
Linfox provides logistics support for the Steve Waugh Foundation’s charity bike ride, The Captain’s Ride. The ride aims to raise funds for the Steve Waugh Foundation to provide life changing support to children and young adults affected by rare diseases.
UooUoo transport
Linfox proudly provided transport of over 50 UooUoo sculptures to their forever homes. To mark the 150th anniversary of The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Melbourne, the RCH Foundation spread colour in Melbourne and Geelong with a public art trail of UooUoo (pronounced you-you), painted by Victorian artists. The UooUoo were auctioned and Linfox coordinated the delivery to their new owners.
Supporting the COVID-19 response in Wilcannia
In the remote far-western NSW of Wilcannia, a significant portion of the population tested positive for COVID-19 during the Delta outbreak. A Linfox semi-trailer served as a pop-up emergency hub for health workers, counsellors, local Indigenous groups and volunteers.
Eco Drive
Linfox promotes workplace and road safety in the communities where we work through programs like Eco Drive, which teaches safe and enviro-friendly driving techniques. Using economical driving (Eco Drive) techniques not only increases road safety, but reduces fuel use.
A good deed for those in need
As Thailand struggled with the third and worst wave of COVID-19, ensuring access to healthcare, hygiene and essential supplies in remote Thai communities was harder than ever. Amidst these challenges, Linfox found a way to reach the most vulnerable families during the toughest of times.
Road Safety Education Campaign
Linfox International Group’s Road Safety Education Campaign starts the safety conversation early to save lives and prevent injuries.
In Southeast Asia, road traffic injuries are a leading cause of death for children and young adults aged five to 29 years.
With these tragic figures in mind and a large proportion of Linfox staff based in Asia, the organisation saw a real opportunity to work with young people to educate about road safety and compliance.
The campaign targets local schools in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and India that are positioned near Linfox sites, or where heavy vehicle traffic passes school precincts.
The curriculum builds Linfox’s industry leading safety principles into a program to raise community consciousness about road safety through children, parents and schools.
Enhance Learning and Literacy
In Vietnam, the Program to Enhance Learning and Literacy (SPELL) supports disadvantaged families by improving education, medical care, clean water and improved sanitation. Linfox is involved in the SPELL program providing children with bicycles to ensure that those living in remote areas can make their way to school.
Room to Read Literacy Program
Room to Read India’s Literacy Program is a children’s education program that develops both literacy skills and reading habits. Our Linfox team has joined forces with Room to Read to supply local schools with fully-equipped libraries.
Greenbelt movement
In China, Shanghai’s ‘greenbelt’ movement engages different communities to form tree nurseries and plant seedlings on public land. Linfox’s sponsorship will help plant an area of 3,000 square meters of forest in the Qingpu district in Shanghai.
