Linfox continues its strong focus on building pathways and career opportunities for women as we grow our diverse workforce.
We hosted the Australian Logistics Council Wayfinder Freight Heartland Awareness Tour, creating the opportunity to engage young women and showcase the career opportunities available at Linfox.
Linfox President Human Resources, Lauren Pemberton explains that Linfox is working in partnership with Wayfinder as part of a broader strategy to improve diversity and inclusion in the workforce by increasing the visibility of careers and building a pipeline of talent.
Linfox hosted two site visits as part of the Wayfinder’s Melbourne tour, including the BevChain Laverton supersite and William Angliss Drive cross functional facility where Site Manager, Lianne Watchman and other industry professionals shared their experiences and insights with 25 job seeking women.
“It was incredible to see the energy of the participants on the day. Meeting a diverse group of women who have never considered a career in the supply chain industry and seeing their enthusiasm for the career opportunities in our business was a proud moment. Our Linfox team shared our passion for the important work we undertake for our customers” said Lauren.
“Participants had the opportunity to see firsthand our Linfox fleet and experience sitting in the driver’s seat of our world class prime movers. Many participants expressed their interest in joining the driving profession and we explained the support we provide via our Linfox Driver Academy.”
