Continuing to drive conversations and ask R U OK?

Achieve Together

R U OK? and Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (HHTS) teamed up for the second year in a row for an industry day of action.

R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds ensures that people across the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries know when and how to ask a simple question that could save a life, ‘R U OK?’

Despite the unique daily challenges faced by everyone in the logistics industry, Linfox and BevChain prioritised time to share the important messages behind R U OK? conversations.

This year, sites across Australia and New Zealand hosted a range of R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds events on 16 May. People from across the business connected with those working in trucks and sheds over a snack or BBQ lunch, with R U OK? educational resources and gifts distributed.

In a short video (QR code below), Linfox Road Train Operator, Darryl Rule and Linfox Operations Manager, Sarah Chapman share why it’s so important to not only take care of themselves but to regularly check in and stay connected with their teams. Scan the QR code to watch the video.

Linfox supports Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds Road Show

Linfox’s state office and cross functional site in Willawong, Queensland proudly hosted the HHTS Road Show in May.

The HHTS Road Show truck is bright, blue and hard to miss! It travels Australia with a life-changing goal – to connect with people across the industry to raise awareness, educate and reduce the stigma about key factors that can affect people’s mental health and wellbeing.

“As a founding member of HHTS, Linfox is committed to supporting the HHTS Road Show circuit and their broader vision for people in our industry,” said Linfox National Health and Wellbeing Manager, Lisa Manning.

“These events inspire great pride in our partnership – it’s so rewarding to see our people create meaningful connections with each other and the HHTS team over a coffee and a healthy snack,” she said.

A toolbox talk presented by Lisa Manning and HHTS Project Coordinator, Kayla O’Brien, highlighted our shared commitment to improve the mental health and wellbeing of those who work in our industry through our award-winning Healthy Fox Program.

“The Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds Road Show truck travels across the country encouraging workers to start a conversation about mental health and wellbeing with their workmates.

“As one of our founding members and strong advocates for mental health and wellbeing across their workforce, we are pleased that Linfox hosted us.”
