Linfox Chairman’s Award 2024

Linfox Group Manager Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Chris Wilks has received this year’s Chairman’s Award.

Executive Chairman Linfox Pty Ltd, Peter Fox AM said Chris has been instrumental in transforming Linfox’s safety culture to a human centric approach, anchored in talking and listening.

“The transformation has led to Linfox celebrating a record-low total recordable injury frequency rate (TRIFR) of 5.8 reflecting a 50 per cent reduction in injuries compared to six years ago,” said Peter.

“Chris has introduced several initiatives, the most notable being the 4Ds process, which encourages team members to share their perspectives on anything they find Dumb, Difficult, Different, or Dangerous in their roles,” said Peter.

Earlier this year, Chris and his team successfully conducted Linfox’s largest and most comprehensive wellbeing survey, achieving a strong participation rate of 54 per cent.

“Beyond these achievements, Chris is an effective leader who is committed to our strategic drivers of Achieving Together, Working Smarter, and Being Safer. Importantly, he engages professionally and ethically with all people, making them feel heard and understood and bringing them along on our safety journey,” said Peter.

“We are so proud of what Chris has achieved in his four years at Linfox and look forward to his contributions in the future.”
