Every year, thousands of people are killed or seriously injured on Australian and New Zealand roads.
These incidents can have a lifelong impact on family, friends, first responders, work mates and other road users.
To raise awareness, Linfox supported Road Safety Week from 16-23 May.
“This year, we asked all Linfox team members, whether they work at a site, in the office or on the road to think about their driving behaviour and the changes they can make to be a safer road user,” said CEO Linfox Logistics Australia and New Zealand, Mark Mazurek.
“In addition, our office-based teams were also given the opportunity to write short messages of support to the thousands of professional drivers who represent Linfox on the road every day.”
Often, it is professional drivers who are first responders to road incidents and it is their actions that protect people while waiting for emergency services.
“We know that professional drivers keep Australia and New Zealand moving, so we will continue to do everything we can to support their safety, health and wellbeing.”
