Linfox champions emergency services athletes

Achieve Together

Linfox is proud to be the foundation sponsor of the Australia & New Zealand Police Games Federation (ANZPGF).

The ANZPGF is the governing body of the Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games, held biennially in Australia and New Zealand.

Bringing together, current and veteran emergency service personnel from Australia and New Zealand, the Games promote improved physical health and wellbeing while encouraging fellowship, healthy competition and camaraderie.

Speaking at the 2025 Hobart Games launch, Linfox President Corporate Services, Doug Fryer APM said “Linfox is delighted to support the Federation to recognise the vital work its members perform each day.”

“Linfox has a strong track record of supporting government and frontline emergency services during times of need, such as bushfires, floods and pandemics.

“We’re proud to play our part when the community needs us, and we’re just as proud to support these Games in the spirit of healthy competition.

“Thank you to all emergency services members for their service to our community,” said Doug.

Promoting health and camaraderie

The Games offer emergency service workers the opportunity to build camaraderie and promote healthy living.

The 2025 Hobart Games are expected to attract around 3,000 athletes from participating agencies. Around 50 sports, from football to running to golf, will be on offer.

Economic impact

The Games bring a significant economic boost to the host state, with the influx of athletes, their families, and spectators greatly contributing to local business and tourism.

Referencing the 2023 Rotorua Games in New Zealand, Tasmania’s Commissioner of Police, Donna Adams APM, said “An economic impact statement completed at the conclusion of the most recent games found that in excess of $10m was spent by competitors, family members and spectators over the period of the games in the Rotorua region.

“We’re definitely hoping that Tasmania can match that score in 2025.”

The 2025 Hobart Games will be held from 15 to 22 March at the Domain Athletic Centre, Hobart.
