BevChain Laverton on track to open early 2024

Think CustomerAchieve Together

Secure local supply chains that support our valued customers and communities are more important now than ever, particularly as land and buildings for industrial use are in high demand.

Meanwhile, the beverage market continues to experience growth with niche categories emerging and growing across craft beer, spirits, wine, ready-to-drink and non alcoholic segments.

With that in mind, BevChain is pleased that with just the final touches to be made, construction of Linfox BevChain’s purpose-built sustainable beverage distribution centre (DC) in Laverton, Victoria is on track to be operational from early 2024.The huge 70,000 square-metre beverage supersite on a 150,000 square-metre allotment has a remarkable 72,000 ambient and temperature-controlled pallet capacity.

This commanding site is the largest in the Linfox portfolio, part of a significant strategic land held by the Fox family which builds on Linfox’s substantial existing property portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.

This crucial investment in the beverage supply chain by Linfox BevChain, together with Linfox Property Group and construction partner Qanstruct, reinforces BevChain’s capability to support the growing beverage market with scope to expand for future customer growth.

“With this state-of-the-art facility, backed by modern, dedicated fleet and equipment, our valued customers can be assured of supply chain flexibility, consistency and continuity.

“What’s more, our experienced BevChain team members will relocate from our existing BevChain Somerton site and will facilitate a seamless customer transition to the new site,” he said.

Upon opening, the site will house approximately 20 iconic BevChain customers including major retail and beverage suppliers.

Importantly, all new Linfox and BevChain sites and the equipment that supports them are designed, built and managed with safety, wellbeing and compliance top of mind – for Linfox’s people and customers.

The project is a significant investment in the Victorian economy, boosting employment throughout all phases of construction, supporting locally-manufactured products during the build phase and leveraging knowledge and expertise of local professionals.

The safe, sustainable facility has been designed and built to seek a 5 Star Green Star rating, with the highest levels of security for people, products and equipment, reinforcing the importance of partnering with a dedicated beverage logistics specialist to consistently meet consumer demands.
