Linfox Transport Scheduler, Coralie Chapman has been named National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA).
The award recognises the strong contribution made by a woman within the Australian trucking industry.
“I love working in logistics and I feel very honoured to be recognised for something I love to do,” Coralie said. “Over 19 years in the industry, I’ve seen a huge change in the acceptance of women. It’s great to see so many more women playing an active role.”
Coralie began her career in logistics nearly two decades ago when she was offered a traineeship at Linfox, and has worked her way through every area of administration and operations since then.
“Coralie has a strong work ethic, a steely commitment to resolving complex logistics tasks and an uncompromising attitude to safety,” said Linfox General Manager, Richard Conron.
Coralie is a member of the ATA Communications Committee, and was made secretary of the Transport Women Australia (TWA) board in 2017.
In 2018, she was selected to participate in the 2018 Daimler Truck and Bus Future Leaders’ Forum, where she developed a project to enhance the image of the industry and raise awareness of safety.
A finalist for two years running, Coralie was named Trucking Industry Woman of the Year at the Trucking Australia 2019 Foundation Sponsors Awards Gala Dinner in Perth on Friday 5 April. She has won a one week trip to America.
