The long-standing Linfox Chairman’s and CEO’s Awards recognise valued team members for their exceptional performance and leadership, and for living our LIFT values of loyalty, integrity, fairness, and trust.
Award recipients are offered an opportunity to undertake further studies at some of the world’s most prestigious learning institutions, with recent recipients having graduated from London Business School and Harvard Business School.
Linfox Chairman’s Award 2024
Linfox Group Manager Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Chris Wilks has received this year’s Chairman’s Award.
Executive Chairman Linfox Pty Ltd, Peter Fox AM said Chris has been instrumental in transforming Linfox’s safety culture to a human centric approach, anchored in talking and listening.
“The transformation has led to Linfox celebrating a record-low total recordable injury frequency rate (TRIFR) of 5.8 reflecting a 50 per cent reduction in injuries compared to six years ago,” said Peter.
“Chris has introduced several initiatives, the most notable being the 4Ds process, which encourages team members to share their perspectives on anything they find Dumb, Difficult, Different, or Dangerous in their roles,” said Peter.
Earlier this year, Chris and his team successfully conducted Linfox’s largest and most comprehensive wellbeing survey, achieving a strong participation rate of 54 per cent.
“Beyond these achievements, Chris is an effective leader who is committed to our strategic drivers of Achieving Together, Working Smarter, and Being Safer. Importantly, he engages professionally and ethically with all people, making them feel heard and understood and bringing them along on our safety journey,” said Peter.
“We are so proud of what Chris has achieved in his four years at Linfox and look forward to his contributions in the future.”
Linfox CEO’s Award 2024
The 2024 CEO’s Award was presented to Linfox Deputy Legal Counsel, Nick Avery.
Nick has played a significant role in several high-level customer contract negotiations, demonstrating his specialist legal, commercial and negotiation skills, along with his astute problem-solving capabilities and professionalism.
“Nick actively models the LIFT values through his work and dealings with stakeholders. Under his leadership, he has fostered a high-performing legal team which consistently delivers quality and timely advice to the business,” said CEO Linfox Australia and New Zealand, Mark Mazurek.
“A diligent, thorough and consultative professional, his work sometimes goes unnoticed due to its confidential nature; however he can always be relied upon to deliver high-quality advice and support to our stakeholders,” said Mark.
“We are so pleased to recognise Nick for his hard work and dedication and look forward to supporting him in his chosen field of study.”
