Linfox recognises outstanding leadership talent17-Aug-2017
Each year, two Linfox employees are recognised and rewarded for outstanding performance, consistent demonstration of the Linfox values and potential for growth into a larger leadership role.
At this year’s Linfox Senior Leadership Conference in Melbourne, Andy Gissing was presented with the Chairman’s Award from Executive Chairman, Peter Fox. Clint Terbogt received the CEO’s Award from Annette Carey, CEO Australia and New Zealand.
As Group Manager Consumer in the Retail business unit, Chairman’s Award winner Andy manages customer contracts across the household brands sector. 32 years of experience at Linfox has given him a keen eye for identifying and rectifying operational issues.
When presenting the award to Andy, Peter acknowledged Andy’s recent success re-motivating the workforce within a long-standing customer contract. “Andy’s hard work and leadership instilled a sense of confidence among stakeholders, while continuously displaying our Linfox values,” Peter said.
Held close to the heart of the Linfox family since Peter’s father Lindsay Fox founded the company in 1956, the Linfox ‘LIFT’ values are loyalty, integrity, fairness and trust.
For Andy, receiving the Chairman’s Award was the most memorable moment in over three decades at Linfox. However, he credits his team for a joint effort. “It’s uplifting to receive such an award, but I’m extremely grateful for the support from everyone within the Resources and Industrial division,” says Andy. “The entire team and the drivers across the nation all played an integral role. This made my job so much easier, and I thank them all.”
CEO’s Award winner, Clint Terbogt, is responsible for Linfox Intermodal’s FMCG customers. As Group Manager Customers, Clint has built a strong and dynamic group of professionals, of whom 40 per cent are Linfox graduates. The team has established deep relationships with their 40 FMCG customers.
“Clint has been instrumental in driving continuous improvement programs with our customers,” said Annette, “and has developed some fantastic projects with significant savings. Clint has earned our deep respect for his consistent demonstration of the company values, and has been identified as a future leader at Linfox."
“Congratulations to both our winners for their hard work and dedication to the company.”
The award winners will receive scholarships for personal development of their choice, in areas such as industry expertise, general management and targeted experience-based learning.
