Linfox appoints internal talent to key leadership positions

Linfox Executive Chairman, Peter Fox has today announced the promotion of five executives to key leadership positions.
  • Greg Thomas appointed CEO of Linfox International Group
  • Kylie Fraser appointed FMCG President
  • Matt Sheridan appointed CEO BevChain
  • Mark Mazurek appointed COO Linfox Australia and New Zealand
  • Ian Strachan appointed President Linfox Intermodal (formerly Linehaul) 
 
“These changes will ensure Linfox continues its strong growth and is well positioned to adapt to the evolving needs of our customers,” said Executive Chairman Linfox, Peter Fox.
 
“I am delighted to appoint these well-deserving, talented individuals to key leadership positions in our business. It is wonderful to see all these roles being filled by internal candidates.” 
 
Greg Thomas appointed CEO of Linfox International Group
 
FMCG President, Greg Thomas has been appointed CEO of Linfox International Group (LIG), effective 1 July. He will also maintain responsibility for Linfox’s healthcare portfolio as Director, Linfox Healthcare.
 
Greg replaces Gabby Costigan who will step down as CEO of LIG on 30 June. (see separate statement)  
 
Greg joined Linfox in 1995 and has held several financial and operational roles in the Resources & Industrial and FMCG business units. He was appointed President FMCG in 2014. 
 
Greg led the development of Linfox’s eCommerce and fulfilment strategy which is set to change the way Linfox does business by broadening our customer base and offering our customers new channels to market.
 
Greg joins the business in Asia with previous experience managing the logistics portfolios for key customers in Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hong Kong in his FMCG role.
 
“He will build on the strong business leadership and strategic direction of Gabby Costigan,” said Peter Fox. 
 
“I thank Gabby for her significant contribution to LIG. In her three years in the role, Gabby has been diligent in her dealings with our business and a strong advocate for Linfox across the region.”
 
Greg will be based in Bangkok. 
 
Kylie Fraser appointed FMCG President 
 
BevChain CEO Kylie Fraser, has been appointed President FMCG, effective 1 July.   
 
“Kylie has an impressive logistics career spanning more than 20 years. Kylie has led BevChain for six strong years. In her time as CEO, BevChain has doubled its revenue while continuing to deliver outstanding supply chain solutions for its customers,” said Peter Fox. 

Matt Sheridan appointed CEO BevChain
 
Matthew Sheridan has been appointed CEO of BevChain, effective 1 July 2017. 
 
Matt takes over from Kylie Fraser, who will return to Linfox as President FMCG.
 
“Matt has strong experience in the beverage supply chain. His experience overseeing significant national contracts has provided a firm understanding of the demands of manufacturers and retailers,” said Peter Fox.  

Mark Mazurek appointed COO Linfox Australia and New Zealand
 
Linehaul President, Mark Mazurek has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) Australia and New Zealand, effective 1 July. He will continue to report directly to Linfox CEO, Annette Carey.        
 
“In this newly created role, Mark will be responsible for the day to day running of Linfox Logistics, ensuring that every part of the business is performing at its peak and delivering the best possible service to our customers,” said Peter.  
 
Mark has successfully led the Linehaul team for six years. He joined Linfox in 2006 as Vice President Wood, Packaging, Print Solutions and Events with responsibility for some of Linfox’s largest customers. He joined the Linehaul team in early 2010 as Vice President before being appointed President in 2011. 
  
Ian Strachan appointed President Intermodal (formerly Linehaul)
 
Ian Strachan has been appointed President Linfox Intermodal, 1 July 2017. Linehaul has been renamed ‘Linfox Intermodal’ to better reflect the size and scope of the team’s work. 
 
“As President Linfox Intermodal, Ian will oversee the provision of interstate transport by road, rail and sea,” said Peter. 

  
“It is a true reflection of Linfox’s investment in people development. All these candidates demonstrate behaviours consistent with our LIFT values of loyalty, integrity, fairness and trust.”
