Lindsay Fox AC - Founder

Lindsay Edward Fox was born on 19 April 1937 in Sydney, Australia and went to school in Melbourne at Prahran State School and Melbourne High School.

The son of a truck driver, Lindsay left school at the age of 16 and bought his first truck when he was 19. Today, Linfox is one of the largest Australian based transport and warehousing groups with operations in 10 countries.

Lindsay has extensive involvement in Australian and International circles and apart from his business interests is well recognised and active in sport and charity work.

Board Members

Linfox Logistics has two governing Boards chaired by Peter Fox. The Linfox Logistics Board and the Linfox International Group that comprise key representatives from the finance, government, legal and business sectors. The Linfox Logistics Board includes Bill Kelty as a non-executive member. Bill Kelty is also a non-executive member of the Linfox International Group along with the Hon. Simon Crean MP and Linfox Asia CEO Gabrielle Costigan.

Peter Fox - Executive Chairman

Peter Fox is the Executive Chairman of Linfox Pty Ltd and Executive Chairman of Armaguard.

Peter Fox was born in Melbourne, the second of six children to Lindsay and Paula Fox. Peter worked at Mayne Nickless as a trainee cadet, before joining Linfox in Brisbane, as a Trainee Supervisor.

Simon Crean - Non-Executive Board Member

Former Australian Trade Minister Simon Crean brings great expertise and knowledge to the Linfox International Group Board.

Simon has had a distinguished career in Australian Government since 1990 serving as Deputy Leader of the Australian Labor Party and holding a range of key ministerial portfolios including, appropriately, Minister for Trade, Minister for Employment, Education and Training, Minister for Science and Technology and Minister for Primary Industries and Energy.

Bill Kelty - Non Executive Board Member

Bill Kelty - Non Executive Board Member

Bill Kelty AC is a Non-executive Board member of the Linfox Group. He has more than 30 years’ experience in industrial relations.

Bill began his career in the early seventies working in various positions in the trade union movement. This involvement led to his becoming Assistant Secretary of the ACTU in 1977, a position he held until, in 1983, he was elected ACTU Secretary. He remained Secretary until February 2000.

Howard’s impressive experience in the logistics sector includes 10 years of multiple CEO roles within CEVA, the world’s second largest integrated logistics company (formerly TNT Logistics) and Eagle (EGL) Logistics.
