My thoughts about Linfox
As a company, Linfox is both an innovator and a great place to work. In an industry that is known for its high accident rate, Linfox has really set itself apart by introducing their Vision Zero safety program to improve safety across the entire business. Linfox has also introduced innovations in the area of carbon emissions by launching the Green Fox initiative that has helped reduce the company’s carbon footprint. It is because of actions like these that I am proud to work for Linfox.
What are your thoughts on the Graduate Program?
I think the Linfox Graduate Program is very unique in the logistics industry. Nowhere have I seen or heard of any program that provides as many opportunities to learn through three vastly different rotations. During my final year at university I was looking for a Supply Chain graduate program, only to find companies only offering traineeships or they had Linfox managing their warehouses and/or their transport. So it made sense for me to apply directly to Linfox as they were the ones managing the logistics for all the big international companies.
I have had a broad range of experiences, from working in an office designing distribution centres, to being out in a warehouse unloading trucks. While at times it has been hard because you are never alone, you also have a great network of graduates, mentors and managers that provide you with support and advice. It is through the rotations, support groups and training that I feel I have developed both personally and professionally. Through the program I have picked up so many skills I can use for the rest of my life.
What aspects of Linfox do you value, find exciting or inspiring?
What I find most inspiring about Linfox is hearing about how the business first started with just one truck seeing how it has grown to the international company it is today. From one man and one truck Linfox has now expanded to over 10 countries worldwide. Great success stories such as these, are what inspires me to work harder and achieve more in life.
