My thoughts about Linfox
I always knew that Linfox was a large company, but when I first started with Linfox I was surprised by how multi faceted and diverse the company really is. The scope of the company has since encouraged me to view logistics in a different way, especially in regards to safety. My journey thus far has been a challenging yet rewarding one and I believe that there is no end to the possibilities when working at Linfox.
How much did you know about logistics before joining the Graduate Program and what is your opinion now?
Having studied logistics I thought I knew a fair bit about logistics, however in the last year or so I have realised that while the theoretical perspectives are useful, nothing can match first hand, hands on learning and experience. I have learned that logistics encompasses not only trucks, warehouses and inventory, but rather a holistic view of the processes, technology and most importantly the people that carry out each task.
What aspects of Linfox do you value, find exciting or inspiring?
I value Linfox’s commitment to safety and the environment. Linfox takes its corporate social responsibility very seriously and it is very reassuring to be a part of a company that isn't just interested in profits.
As above mentioned I am excited by the endless possibilities available and the opportunity to be part of cutting edge, best- practice company that displays continuous improvement in ideas and techniques.
And lastly, I am inspired by the people who work at Linfox; the journeys that people, at all levels of management, have undertaken to get to where they are and the opportunity for me to learn from these journeys.
