Why did you join the Linfox Graduate Program?

I had previously worked for Linfox in different casual roles at various sites. During that time I was so impressed with Linfox that I wanted to turn casual employment into a career at Linfox. The graduate program is very appealing as it allows several rotations into different business areas. This gives the graduates an unprecedented opportunity to get to know different facets of the business and gain insight and experience in order to choose the ideal career path. I believe the diversity at Linfox, directly contributes to the strong safety and operational culture that makes Linfox such a special company.

What is your current rotation and typical day like?

My current rotation is working in the FMCG business Unit, with a focus on the Arnott's contract. I am involved in a major rework of a site’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). On a day-to-day basis this means taking part in the site stock take and generally understanding the business. The re-work of SOPs is a great opportunity for all employees to provide their input to the procedures in place. This project means I have the opportunity to develop my managerial and organisational skills, which will further my career aspirations.

What aspects of Linfox do you value, find exciting or inspiring?

I think the safety policy at Linfox is inspiring, as it demonstrates the concern the company holds for all its employees. Safety is emphasised at every stage through programs such as Vision Zero. The Vision Zero program creates a feeling of safety and security amongst all staff.
