Carter Holt Harvey carbon modelling project

Linfox Logistics uses special carbon modelling software to identify ways we can cut carbon emissions and be more efficient throughout our business. Our partnership with Carter Holt Harvey illustrates one of the many ways we work with customers to reduce our impact on the environment.

Working with our customer

In September 2008 we worked with Carter Holt Harvey to assess the impact of our carbon footprint across various transport and supply chain routes. Our strategy was to find the most efficient routes of transport and warehouse locations to ensure we used the least amount of fuel and therefore produced the lowest amount of greenhouse gas.

The carbon modelling project, completed in April 2009, helped us identify the best locations for warehouses and the best transport routes for our fleet. The project not only helped us reduce carbon emissions, but helped make our business more efficient.
