Linfox Logistics’ Supply Chain Solutions Group (SCSG) provides a team of experts from a variety of business disciplines who employ cutting-edge technology to design innovative solutions for our customers.

The group works with our industry teams to improve value for customers, from network and distribution centre (DC) design, inventory management to freight planning and management. The guiding principle is to ensure that Linfox creates value for our customers, and to use the most appropriate technology available.

The Supply Chain Solutions Group has been recognised by industry peers and is a leader in supply chain modelling. We have completed more than 600 projects for our customers since the SCSG was formed in 2005.

Distribution Centre (DC) design

Distribution centre (DC) design is an increasingly important focus of the SCSG. The team uses CLASS simulation software to provide customers with a model of their optimum design, manpower and shift requirements. 

Results for customers include improved supply chain operations, more reliable service delivery, lower operating costs, more productive transport fleets, more efficient warehouse operations and better managed inventories.

Environmental modelling

Emerging areas of support include financial and environmental modelling, increasingly essential for customers who hope to decrease their carbon footprint.
