What is Vision Zero?

Vision Zero is Linfox’s safety target. Vision Zero commits to achieving:

Vision Zero is about setting simple safety rules and guidelines, taking responsibility and being accountable.

What is Linfox doing about safety?

Linfox has developed a whole range of initiatives to help us achieve Vision Zero, including:

  • Safety is first on the agenda at all Linfox meetings
  • Each site records daily safety observations in our Safety Leadership Journal
  • Risk networks, groups of employees who workshop particular safety risks
  • Stop for Safety meetings
  • Driver buddy system
  • Rewarding safe behaviour
  • Challenging unsafe behaviour

What is Linfox’s safety policy?

  • Training employees to work safely
  • Holding peers accountable for their actions
  • Setting targets to develop, implement and maintain safety standards and management systems
  • Compliance with legal requirements and industry standards

  • Engaging with our customers and the community to build relationships based on trust, openness and honesty to share our responsibilities for safety
  • Regularly monitoring our progress towards Vision Zero.

What are Linfox’s safety rules for employees?

Accidents at work can be avoided if we follow our simple Vision Zero safety rules, starting with leadership.

  1. Leadership – caring for our people and leading by example
  2. Visibly demonstrate your commitment to safety
  3. Empower people to stop, think and plan
  4. Set clear expectations
  5. Involve and communicate with your team
  6. Regularly thank your team for their safety efforts

Working safely is a condition of employment at Linfox. Our six behavioural rules:

  1. Stop, think and plan to be safe
  2. Stay at least two metres clear from moving mobile equipment
  3. Always wear your seat belt
  4. Drive to conditions and obey the speed limits
  5. Stop anyone with a bad lifting technique
  6. Never work when affected by drugs or alcohol

Safety first – do it for your mates, do it for your kids, do it for your family.
