Linfox’s multi-user warehouse at Pooraka provides a flexible solution for customers by sharing fixed costs, resources and equipment.
The Pooraka site is only 15 minutes from the Port Adelaide wharf and railhead, providing convenient access to key transport modes. It handles an average of 20 B-Doubles, 10-15 single trailer and 10 rigid vehicle movements each day. This increases substantially during the summer trading peak.
Dennis Tagni, Operations Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory says, “While we service customers across all Linfox Business Units, we have been able to design synergies between operations that add value for all customers. For instance, a B-Double delivering mail from Melbourne may return carrying snack foods.”
The Pooraka site is also a Linfox campus sites, providing more than 9,000 square metres of warehouse space plus Linfox’s South Australian head office. The site carries around 5,000 pallets of ambient goods and 3,300 pallets of chilled goods at any one time.
Linfox operates multi-user sites in all Australian capital cities and in New Zealand.
