Linfox introduced 17 Kenworth T408SAR prime movers to its fleet.
The Australian-made prime movers joined the Linfox fleet recently for fuel haulage contracts in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
Alex Brincat, Linfox’s Fleet Manager Industrial said, “The T408SARs are fully compliant for haulage of dangerous goods and are used for fuel deliveries for 7-Eleven, Caltex and ExxonMobil.
The prime movers are powered by Cummins ISX 15-litre EGR in line six cylinder engines, rated at 500 hp.
The engine power is driven through an 18-speed gearbox. Linfox Driver, Dave Gardner said, “The extra horse power helps with hills. The trucks are easy to handle with improved visibility which makes them great for driving in city traffic.”
The prime movers’ set forward front axle has been specifically designed to provide maximum payload for 19m B-Double configurations.
