The state-of-the-art Coronado prime movers will be used mainly in Linfox’s Resources & Industrial Business Unit, serving customers in the mining, oil and gas industries.
Coronados are built in the USA by Freightliner, part of the Daimler Group of companies. They were built to Linfox’s unique specifications to operate long distances in remote and hot conditions.
The cab is ergonomically designed and sports a premium sound system. It has a 1.5 metre walk through sleeper cab with a double bed bunk and a stand alone air conditioning system.
Drivers have an on-board refrigerator, to maintain fresh food and drink. Communication equipment includes an onboard phone and a satellite phone; and a GPS system provides constant monitoring.
The prime mover carries 1,500 litres of diesel fuel which can provide a driving range of up to 1,800 kilometres.
