Linfox’s specially designed fleet delivers Tegel’s famous poultry range across New Zealand’s North Island.

Tegel Foods recently extended its distribution partnership with Linfox in New Zealand.

The specialised Linfox trucks feature dual temperature controlled zones to carry fresh and frozen products. This ensures that customers receive product at the required temperature.

Linfox’s Contract Manager, Philip Reynolds says that the Linfox team is very dedicated to their work with Tegel. “We have a team of long serving and dedicated professionals,” said Philip. “The task is exacting and our employees take great pride in their work.”

Fresh poultry makes up the majority of deliveries but there is a growing trend to cooked and further processed meats. Cooked and fresh product must be kept separate so great care is taken in maintaining this strict requirement during loading and deliveries. This also requires a certain amount of manual handling when picking mixed orders at delivery sites.

At night the fleet runs Linehaul deliveries from Tegel’s production centres and operates metropolitan deliveries during the day.
