Linfox Logistics’ CEO, Michael Byrne addressed this week’s Australian Logistics Council’s ‘Freight Networks for the Future’ forum.
He said, “If we want to remain a vibrant industry and economy, well past this resources boom, we must embrace the Asia Pacific region and nurture highly skilled and educated people to continue developing our economic strengths.”
“Training and educating our people are absolute commitments at Linfox. We must develop our people’s full potential if we are to grow as a business. Our training and education budget is more than $9 million a year.”
“This includes substantial graduate and cadet development programs, links with leading business management schools around the world, our Indigenous employment program and an industry leading commitment to a 15 per cent superannuation contribution for employees.”[See the full text of Michael Byrne’s speech]
