Linfox is well and truly part of the family for the Hoveys. They are based in Melbourne, Victoria but travel as far as South Australia on a weekly basis.

Graeme Hovey has been driving for Linfox for what he describes as “all his life” and many family members have been or are linehaul drivers.

In 1995 the Hovey family of drivers joined Linfox. Following in the family tradition is Graeme’s son, Ryan who joined Linfox in 2005 and cousin, Stephen Hovey, who has driven for Linfox for over two years.

Graeme has driven trucks for 46 years. He estimates that he has driven more than 3.3 million kilometres over the years. Graeme recalls when the Hovey family joined Linfox, “Lindsay Fox told my uncle, Ron, ‘As long as you boys do the right thing, you’ll have a job for life.’”

Graeme said, “Being a linehaul driver is different from any other job at Linfox and particularly a regular 9 to 5 job. I enjoy being out on the road where you get to be your own boss. If you provide excellent service to your customers, it is a great feeling. For me, working for Linfox is like one family working for another really big family.”
