Linfox Linehaul’s branch at Welshpool, Perth is ideally located to facilitate the growing demands for cross country freight.

Adjacent to the Kewdale rail freight terminal, the Welshpool site handles up to 400 rail containers of cargo on a weekly basis.

Gary Baldwin, Perth Branch Manager says that rail plays an increasingly important role as an efficient, economic and environmentally effective mode for the 3,500 kilometre journey between Australia’s booming west and east coast centres.

“With more than 80 customers we handle a massive variety of goods, from daily mail to household whitegoods,” said Gary. “We have a wide range of container types in our fleet to accommodate customers’ freight needs, including bulk, curtainsiders refrigeration and containers with decking beams allowing freight to be double stacked.”

The Linehaul branch provides warehousing, cross docking, load consolidation and container de-stuffing. It is equipped with an array of forklifts, container lifters, prime movers and trailers to service customer needs.

Situated next to major freeways, the branch also services a steady stream of coastal shipping and road freight requirements.
