Linfox’s Operations Manager China, Melanee Smith says her experience in Australia and her management studies have prepared her well for the challenges in her new role in China.
“While the geography, language and culture are new, we apply the same principles as we do in all our operations,” said Melanee. “We partner multinational businesses that value our commitment to safety, sustainability and customer service.”
“We are planning significant change in our work with Unilever in Beijing. Linfox’s Supply Chain Solutions Group is currently working with us to plan the move to a new DC which will go live in October this year.”
“New distribution work with Unilever is also being carefully planned for imminent start-up.”
Linfox recently helped shift Tesco’s Shanghai operations to a new DC in Jiashan south of the city. “We currently dispatch from three DCs and have just commenced national delivery of ambient goods from the new Jiashan DC.”
“I am really enjoying my new work challenges and exploring Shanghai and tasting the many culinary delights.”
