Asian and NZ business restructure

I am pleased to announce important changes to our Asian business structure.

As outlined in our recent 2015 Strategy review, we are seeking significant new growth in Asia where Linfox has already enjoyed success. This restructure creates an even stronger senior management team to support our existing Asian business, assist new business development and ensure that all business decision-making is rapid, smooth and effective.

Details of our new Asia and NZ structure:

  • Jonathon Kottegoda-Breden is appointed to the expanded role of Vice President FMCG Asia reporting to the President FMCG. The Country Managers for Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia will report to Jonathon.
  • Mark Parlane is appointed to the new role of Vice President Retail & Industrial Asia reporting to the President Industrial. Mark retains responsibility as Country Manager China and the Country Managers India and Thailand will report to him.

These two new Vice President Asia roles are effective immediately. They will each be supported by Commercial Managers who are yet to be appointed.

  • John Kershaw is appointed Group Manager Business Development – India and Malaysia and will relocate to Malaysia on 15 September to work particularly with the Country Managers India and Malaysia to develop targeted new business opportunities.

  • Nick Snelling is appointed Country Manager New Zealand following John Kershaw’s relocation to Malaysia on 15 September. New Zealand will report to the President Industrial.

This new structure utilises Jonathon and Mark’s tremendous Asian experience to provide robust ‘on the ground’ leadership for our business growth. It also reduces complex reporting lines between Country Managers and Business Unit Vice Presidents.

John Kershaw will draw on his previous Asian experience to assist our Asian growth strategy with a particular focus on Retail in India. Nick Snelling brings extensive knowledge of our New Zealand operations to the management of the business there.

Please join me in congratulating Jonathan, Mark, John and Nick on their new and significant roles in Linfox’s future growth.
