Linfox Logistics won the Mars Petcare Optimising Supply Chain Award and received several other industry awards recently. Linfox won the Mars Petcare Optimising Supply Chain Award award in November.
Linfox began the Mars Petcare contract in Wodonga in September last year. The Mars team is delighted with the improved operations and customer service delivered by Linfox.
In selecting Linfox for the award the MARS Petcare team wrote, “Changing to a new warehouse provider is never an easy task, especially when the existing operator has been in place for just over 40 years.”
“Linfox have provided an integrated service focus whilst implementing a continuous improvement culture. They have been able to deliver significant increases in the levels of customer service, continue to develop the site to maximise operational efficiency, and deliver cost benefits via improved productivity.”
Linfox Logistics also won several awards at the 2009 Mercury Awards, sponsored by Reed Business Information, publisher of Logistics Magazine. Logistics Magazine’s Mercury Awards entries are considered by a panel of three independent industry judges on a voluntary basis.
Linfox won the Mercury Best in Show award and the Logistics Leader award for our work with Coles. Linfox was also highly commended for Best Green Initiative for creating a design tool that models carbon emissions and was highly commended for Best Technology Application.
