Strategy

 Linfox Logistics' strategy for 2015

The 2015 strategy builds on our competitive differentiators to deliver growth to the business. These differentiators are built around our values and our commitment to service our customers and each other. We have a great business and we must strive to make it better every day.

Our goal is to be the supply chain solutions provider of choice in the Asia Pacific region. Our continued growth is based on a well-defined plan which develops organic business growth and seeks strategic acquisitions. This growth plan has seen Linfox business double in the last four years, positioning the company as a leading logistics service provider in the burgeoning economies of the Asia Pacific region.

We continue to recognise that everyone in the business shares responsibility for safety and we have introduced new tools to improve our safety performance:
- Site leaders will use the Safety Leadership Journal every day to improve safety management
- The Incident Cause Analysis Methodology will help us identify and rectify the root cause of incidents at Linfox
- Linfox Safety Standards training will be rolled out to site leaders across the Asia Pacific.

We will seek business growth by:
- Continuing to deliver consistently excellent customer service
- Creating further supply chain value for our existing customers
- Retaining our focus on forming deep customer relationships
- Targeting new growth, particularly in Asia and in the resources sector in Western Australia.

We will focus on building efficiencies by:
- Formalising and embedding our continuous improvement processes
- Being more proactive and forward looking in our relationships with our customers
- Continuing to invest in our people’s skills and innovative technology.

We remain committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business and reducing our rate of carbon emissions by 50 per cent by 2015.

International freight forwarding

The acquisition of FCL in 2006 cemented Linfox Logistics' position as a leading rail freight forwarder in Australia at a time when rail freight is set to grow significantly. The acquisitions of Provincial Freightlines in New Zealand and Westgate Logistics in Australia substantially strengthen the business base in those two countries.
