Tata Steel Best Vendor Logistics and External Processing Agent Award - 2010
Tata Steel recognised Linfox with its Best Vendor Logistics and External Processing Agent Award for 2010. The award was, “…in recognition of outstanding performance during the year 2010” and presented by Tata Steel’s Ranjan Sinha, Chief Procurement.
Ben Sullivan, India Country Manager said the award was a fantastic achievement for the Linfox team. “We have invested significantly in developing our drivers’ skills and providing an efficient purpose-built fleet for our work with Tata.”
Mars Petcare Supplier of the Year Award - 2010
Linfox also received Mars Petcare’s Ensuring Responsibility of Supply Award at the annual awards’ presentation. Kathryn Fagg, Linfox’s President FMCG said, “The award recognises meeting client expectations, productivity development, safe behaviour and relationship building. I am very proud of our Wodonga team for their tireless effort.”
SCA Hygiene Supplier of the Year Award for Australaisa - 2009
In 2009 the Linfox in New Zealand achieved delivery in full on time in excess of 99.5 per cent to ear SCA Hygiene Supplier of the Year Award for Australasia. Led by Craig Malanaphy, the Linfox team has an excellent relationship with SCA's management.
BRW most respected transport company 2009
In November 2009, leading business magazine BRW named Linfox Logistics as Australia's most respected transport company.
BRW surveyed 460 business leaders, including CEOs and asked executives to identify the companies they hold in the highest esteem. The magazine noted, "Transport and logistics giant Linfox shows little sign of slowing down, 53 years after it was founded by Lindsay Fox. He took a one-truck company and built it into a national leader that is synonymous with transport in Australia."
Mars Petcare Optimising Supply Chain Award – November 2009
Linfox began the Mars Petcare contract in Wodonga in September last year. The Mars team is delighted with the improved operations and customer service delivered by Linfox.
Selecting Linfox for the award, the MARS Petcare team wrote, “Changing to a new warehouse provider is never an easy task, especially when the existing operator has been in place for just over 40 years. Linfox have provided an integrated service focus whilst implementing a continuous improvement culture. They have been able to deliver significant increases in the levels of customer service, continue to develop the site to maximise operational efficiency, and deliver cost benefits via improved productivity.”
2009 Mercury Awards
Linfox Logistics won several awards at the 2009 Mercury Awards, sponsored by Reed Business Information, publisher of Logistics Magazine. Logistics Magazine’s Mercury Awards entries are considered by a panel of three independent industry judges on a voluntary basis.

Logistics Leader - Winner- Linfox Logistics
The Linfox Retail Business Unit extended and connected its current technology systems to replace manual notification so delivery details are now tracked and planned electronically. Planning and demand forecasting is now also automated.
Best Technology Application - Highly Commended - Linfox Logistics
Linfox Logistics’ retail solution delivered a 10 per cent reduction in data entry time using the GPS feeds of events. With the ability to track vehicles returning to distribution centres (DCs) in real-time, operational staff are better able to plan subsequent loads for vehicles and alert warehouse operators, resulting in a four per cent reduction in turnaround of vehicles at the DCs.
Best Green Initiative- Highly Commended-Linfox and Infor
Linfox worked closely with leading IT solutions company Infor in Australia to build on the capabilities of its SCM (Supply Chain Modeling) Network Design product, which incorporates the ability to model for carbon emissions and take into account the impact of certain events and changes to the carbon output.
Award for Excellence in Transport and Logistics - 2009 SMART Awards
Linfox won the Award for Excellence in Transport and Logistics, recognising the development of the WebViz system which provides web-based real time data on vehicle movements between distribution centres and stores.
Award for Significant Individual Contribution, Lindsay Fox - 2009 SMART Awards
The Award for Significant Individual Contribution recognises Linfox founder Lindsay Fox’s outstanding contribution to the transport and logistics industry, his broader work to improve industry standards and his contributions to the general community over more than 50 years.
Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands Most Improved Hauler 2007 Award – Exxon-Mobil
Linfox's Australian operations for ExxonMobil won the Award for safety, health and environmental achievements including zero lost time injuries from 2005 – 2007, zero level-one incidents from 2003 – 2007 and a 50 per cent overall improvement across four incident categories in 2007 by halving motor vehicle claims, spills and crossovers.
Best LPG Hauler in the South East Asia, Hong Kong, China Award – Exxon-Mobil
Linfox’s Hong Kong operations won this award in recognition of flawless operations with no recorded incidents across five categories in 2007.
Operation Countdown Award – Australian Freight Industry Awards
The Workplace Safety, Operational Training and Compliance Team for Linfox won the award for their significant contribution to road safety and chain of responsibility within the freight and logistics industry - showing strong community recognition for Vision Zero and our continued improvement in safety.
Dulux Supplier of the Year 2007 Award – Dulux
Linfox won this award based on customer satisfaction levels and continuous improvement. The award recognised Linfox’s commitment to reducing costs and increasing revenues to provide customers with a strategic tool for growth.Linfox New Zealand beat more than 800 suppliers to win the ‘Supplier of the Year’ award. The award is a testament to continual process improvement and service excellence. It is the third win for the Linfox New Zealand Dulux team.
Operation Countdown Award – 2007 Australian Freight Industry Awards
This award recognised Linfox Logistic’s significant contribution to road safety and the chain of responsibility within the Freight and Logistics Industry. Linfox won the award for the company’s focus on safety, regulatory compliance management and its random drug and alcohol testing.
Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Management and Distribution – SMART 2007 conference
The Supply Chain Solutions Group draws recognition and reward from industry peers. Recently, Linfox Logistics was awarded the inaugural ‘Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Management and Distribution’ for its design and implementation of a fully automated warehousing system for cereal producer, Kellogg’s at Botany in Sydney.
The design was developed and implemented by the Supply Chain Solutions Group in partnership with the customer and the range of equipment suppliers needed to provide the state-of-the-art distribution centre.
